Refuse-derived fuel (RDF)

Mainly a fuel produced by shredding, screening and magnetic separation of municipal solid waste (MSW) and residual waste. The RDF consists largely of combustible components of municipal waste such as plastics, paper and some biodegradable waste.

The energy produced from the RDF is used for district heating and production of electricity replacing fossil fuel as oil and coal.

All facilities are high efficiency R1 installations.
