We have targeted to deliver Statkraft with a competitive offer based on the right quality material, the environmental impact, solid business partners and a lean logistic solution. We thank Statktraft for the given trust and we are looking forward to developing the cooperation for the coming years, says Marcos Arizti, Business Development Manager at Rekom AS.
Statkraft Varme is the district heating company within Statkraft and has been engaged in energy recovery and district heating since 1982. The plant handles over 220 000 tons of household waste annually, of which approx. 100 000 tons are already supplied by Rekom under existing contracts.
To ensure flexibility in the deliveries, Rekom has provided two different solutions for imports; 5000 tons are directly delivered in 40-ft containers and another 5000 tons with side port vessels to a local warehouse before the bales are transported for energy recovery. -The unique and efficient logistic solution was crucial for Rekom being awarded the contract to transport and storage RDF for energy recovery at Statkraft, says Snorre Gangaune, Senior Business Development Manager at Statkraft Varme.
