Rekom has started their two-year assignment of collection and handling of treated wood waste for the inter-municipal company Follo Ren IKS. The assignment involves the management of approximately 1,200 tonnes of waste annually.

The contract with Follo Ren IKS covers the collection of treated wood waste on three recycling stations and the transport and handling of the treated wood waste.

Follo Ren IKS is an inter-municipal company that provides the collection, transport and proper treatment of waste for the participating municipalities. The company is owned by the Norwegian municipalities Frogn, Nesodden, Oppegård, Ski and Ås.
There was a total of five bidders in the tender. Follo Ren IKS’s award criteria was the lowest price. The contract took effect January 1, 2017, and has a length of two years with the possibility of a one + one-year extension.
